High Court of Judicature at Allahabad Issues Notice for Two-Minute Silence in Memory of Pahalgam Terror Attack Victims

The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has issued a notice directing a two-minute silence to honor the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, located in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The observance is scheduled for April 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM across the High Court in Allahabad and its bench in Lucknow.

 

According to the notice signed by the Registrar General, sirens will sound from 10:29 AM to 10:30 AM to mark the commencement of the silence. During this period, judges, lawyers, court staff, and all present in the court premises are requested to stand and observe the silence. An “all clear” siren will follow from 10:32 AM to 10:33 AM, signaling the end of the tribute.

The notice has been circulated to key court officials, including the Chief Justice, Advocate General, President of the High Court Bar Association, and other senior officers, as well as all private secretaries to the judges for further dissemination. This solemn gesture reflects the court’s commitment to paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragic incident.
